Andy Bachmann was a stained glass master craftsman. He created beauty since he retired in 1985 when he and his late wife took some classes together. A shop with his tools and materials sits just outside the patio door of the home he shared with his daughter and son-in-law in Cornelius, Oregon. Andy was born in 1924 and served on the USS Cahaba (a tanker ship that kept the fleet fueled) in the Pacific Ocean. He received eight battle stars before he was twenty years old! As he got older, he lost some mobility but enjoyed working with glass so much, he recruited an apprentice to help him. A small selection of small creations are available here on the internet.
